- Usage data: Date idea preferences (location, budget, mood, duration) you submit
- Generated content: AI-generated date ideas and your saved jar items
- Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our AI date idea generation service
- To manage your account and saved date ideas
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
- To communicate important service updates
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Anthropic: Your date preferences (location, budget, mood, duration) are sent to generate ideas. No personal identifiers are included.
- Stripe: Email and payment details for subscription processing
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication, and rate limiting. Your data is stored in a secured database and is only accessible to authenticated users.
5. Data Retention
Your account data and saved date ideas are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Cookies
DateNightJar uses JWT tokens stored in your browser's local storage for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your saved date ideas
